A KTP that's been used for a long time can wear out: the photo fades or the text becomes hard to read. If the Yukser team can't match your face to the photo on your KTP, your verification can't be approved yet. Don't worry though, there's another way and you can do everything through the app.
What happens if your KTP is unreadable?
The Yukser team will send a request for additional information via notification. Open the app and tap the notification (or the yellow card on the Home screen) and you'll go straight to the Fix verification page.
Other proof of identity you can submit
On that page you can choose one of the following:
- IKD (Digital KTP), if you already have the Identitas Kependudukan Digital app from Dukcapil, send a screenshot. This is the quickest option.
- SIM, a photo of your valid driving licence.
- Passport, a photo of the personal details page.
Make sure your name, photo and document number are clearly visible and free of glare. Once submitted, the Yukser team will review it, usually within 1×24 hours.
Don't have a replacement document?
You can arrange a replacement for a damaged KTP at the Dukcapil office or through the IKD app. Replacing a damaged KTP is free. Once your new KTP is ready, resubmit your verification as normal.
Your data is safe
All documents are stored encrypted and are only used to confirm that you are really you. Read also: Security and verification at Yukser.
