If you have accepted a job with a set time but it turns out there is a clash, you do not have to cancel. Propose a different time and let the customer decide.
How to do it
- Open the job in your Orders list.
- Select Propose a new time.
- Choose the new time and write a brief reason. An honest, clear explanation is approved far more often.
- Send your proposal.
While you wait for a response
The original time still stands. If the customer has not replied and the original time arrives, you must still show up then. Any unanswered proposal expires after 12 hours.
Limitations
- Only available for scheduled jobs, and only before you have set off.
- You must submit the proposal at least 3 hours before the agreed time.
- A single job can be rescheduled a maximum of 2 times, counting proposals from both you and the customer.
Why this is better than cancelling
Cancelling a job you have already accepted counts against your rating and can lower your tier. Proposing a new time does not. So if you still want to do the job, this is the right approach.
